Title: My hero
Rating: PG
Pairing: Sam/Janet
Spoliers: Heroes
Challenge : News
I go through the news without actually listening, my mind numb except for a pain so strong that threatens to choke me. And eventually, she appears. A small picture of her in uniform, smiling, behind the journalist. An accident in the infirmary. An electrical short-circuit. That’s what they came up with.
The journalist dismisses her story like it was a stupid piece of gossip. Everyone moves on.
I don’t. I can’t. Wounds like this never heal. Jack taught me that.
No one will ever now how brave she had been, how she died for her planet. A war hero. My hero
Title: Dear Janet
Rating: PG
Pairing: Sam/Janet
Spoilers: Heroes
Challenge: Love letters
Dear Janet,
It’s been ten years since you left me. Ten years of seeking alliances, ten years of battles. And death. But we did it. We defeated the Goa’ulds. Gone, forever. Like you.
I still miss you, Jan. Sometimes so much it hurts even to wake up in the morning.
Worst of all, I’m starting to lose memories. Your voice, your face, your scent, indistinct and distorted as if my senses were fogged. The feel of you, so distant in time it feels like a remembrance of a past life.
It makes me want to cry.
Love ya always,
Sam.
And...
