Look, it's the middle ages!

There's someone I have been friend with on Facebook I never talk to and I only friended because we went to a web design seminar together. I keep her hidden, because I know she's a homophobic bigot, but every now and then I check her timeline for new gems.

And oh, she didn't disappoint. She detests that one gay Italian politician is raising a kid with his partner, and between all the classic homophobic comments, she also claimed tghat he will never know what real parenthood is because the only bond that matters is the one created through pregnancy.

I was tempted to say something but then kept my thoughts to themselves. What a terrible thing to say. How disrespectful to parents and children in non-traditional and expanded families.

It saddens me to know that there's someone out there, in 2017, who's teaching their kid that love is conditional.

So, basically, no cis father can have a bond with his child, because last time I checked, only one parent out of two gets pregnant. :-P

Lol that's what I was thinking as well. But to be honest, I think she might be the kind of Catholic that believes in the separation of roles according to gender and that only 'mommies' can establish a certain bond with their children.

This kind of thinking is harmful to both women and men.
